Objectives and walkthrough

The official 1.1.3.0 notes announce a fix for this quest’s objective marker pointing to the wrong location. If the marker’s guidance seems wrong, check whether your game is up to date. Details are in the 1.1.3.0 update summary (Japanese).

Collect the Books of Healing Smite and Piercing

Find and collect the Book of Healing Smite, then search for the Book of Piercing. After collecting the Book of Piercing, defeat the illagers before starting the search for the Book of Ancient Alchemy.

Investigate the empty lectern in the wishing well

Enter the wishing well in search of the Book of Ancient Alchemy and investigate the empty lectern. Defeat the illagers after the investigation. You will collect the Book of Ancient Alchemy later, during the dungeon search.

Hand the recovered books to the Enchantsmith

After the battle in the well, return to the Enchantsmith. Hand over the enchantment books you have recovered, then return to Brave Haven.

Speak to the Enchantsmith at the stall

Find the Enchantsmith’s stall in Brave Haven and speak to the Enchantsmith. Next, head for the dungeon entrance to continue the search for the Book of Ancient Alchemy.

Recover the Book of Ancient Alchemy from the dungeon

Find the dungeon entrance and go inside. Search for and collect the Book of Ancient Alchemy, then survive the ambush that follows. Leave the dungeon after the battle.

Report back to the Enchantsmith

After leaving the dungeon, return to the Enchantsmith and speak to them. Continue through this final conversation after recovering the book.

Location and unlock conditions

The shop map marker and state tags for rifts and dungeons reference this quest’s completed state. This does not mean every rift is inaccessible earlier, or establish the exact moment services become usable.

Reward definitions and limits

  • First-completion branch: The settings reference enchantments. These are reward-definition references to items, groups or pools, not a verified list of actual grants.
  • Base branch: No selector identifying an equipment candidate was resolved in this branch.

Whether the branches add or replace one another, actual equipment grants and final XP remain unverified. The base branch is not labeled a replay reward; replayability is disabled for this quest in the checked snapshot.
